This contract pays $1 if Vladimir Putin is President of Russia AND has effective control of the Russian government and military at 12.01 am on 1 January 2017 (New Zealand time). Otherwise this contract closes at $0.

Judging Criteria 

The word "President" refers to Vladimir Putin's current role and title as President of Russia or any replacement title which demarcates him as the sole leader of the Government of Russia.

This contract will immediately pay $0 if mainstream media reports say Vladimir Putin has lost effective control of the Russian Government or military, or words to that effect. For example, (but not limited to) mainstream media reports that Vladimir Putin has died, resigned, has been imprisoned or arrested, has been removed from leadership, or has fled the country, before the close date, will cause this contract to immediately close at $0.

iPredict reserves the right to delay closing to seek clarification of events in Russia.

Dates and times Wellington, NZ time.

This contract will be closed no later than 3 working days after the Close Date. The Close Date may be extended if the event outcome cannot be determined by that date.
